
The Hotel cancellation Plus and Premium policies cover the following reasons for cancellation or trip curtailment by the guest:
- Guest falls ill with COVID-19
- A next of kin or a person living in the same household falls ill with COVID-19 and the presence of the guest at home is urgently required
- Fever and suspected Corona, even if the test result later comes out as negative
- A positive test result without symptoms
- A next of kin in the joint household has fallen ill and the guest must enter quarantine
No insurance cover for the following:
- if the guest has been assessed as being a person at risk and thus does not want to travel out of fear of infection
- because of precautionary quarantine imposed by the authorities upon return to the home country
- loss of employment due to dismissals triggered by the pandemic
- closing of the borders, hotel closures imposed by the authorities, lockdown by the government (--> frustration of the contract for accommodation = no cancellation fees may be charged on part of the accommodation provider)
